EARLY DAYS Born in Lagos Nigeria as a fraternal twin
Pastor Taiwo Osinusi
Born in Lagos Nigeria as a fraternal twin to his sister (Kehinde), Pastor Taiwo Osinusi is the proud son of (Olaonipekun and Atinuke). He was raised in Lagos and completed his primary, secondary and Advanced Level (A-Level) education in Nigeria before moving on to earn his college degree at the University of Liberia in Liberia. At the end of his college days in Liberia, Pastor T moved back to Nigeria and fulfilled his Youth service obligation in Port Harcourt. As a very energetic youth our beloved Pastor although very friendly and outgoing was equally as mischievous; always getting into trouble with his parents, teachers and other adults. It was during his A-Levels that he earned a moniker that would go on to become a permanent nickname by which he is still referred to by his closest friends today. In an assignment given by one of his teachers, which clearly required only a brief summary of the topic of interest, our dearest pastor took the liberty of writing an essay similar in length to the entire epistles written by Paul. Upon receiving the assignment, his teacher could only laugh as he bestowed the name “ZIMGBO” upon him – a fitting name which means “a verbose writer”. His early days prepared him to be the man he is today – a loving father, husband, friend and leader. In addition, he is also a qualified Accountant as well as a software and Oracle ERP Consultant.
WIFE and KIDS
Pastor Taiwo has always had a way with words and in his earlier days, this attribute made him popular with the Ladies – until of course he met his very beautiful wife – Pastor Omolara Osinusi – or Sunshine as he so often calls her. He argues that she is the most beautiful woman on earth and very few will contest that statement as she is beautiful both on the inside and on the outside. Together, they have three lovely and ambitious children Wale, Tinuke and Segun.
Zimgbo is very well traveled and has lived in a number of countries including the UK, but today he is resides on the outskirts of Nashville, TN in the city of La Vergne. The move to Tennessee was not a direct one as Pastor Taiwo had avoided his calling for a long time. Having received the call in 1998, he embarked on a journey that can be compared to the Jonah and his reluctance to heed God’s calling as narrated in Jonah Chapters I – IV. After avoiding the inevitable for four years, the unmistakable signs and experiences from God finally convinced Pastor to move to Nashville in 2002 where he began to fellowship with brethren at the Redeemed Christian Church of God – Agape House. In February of 2007, a new parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastored by Pastor Taiwo Osinusi was established in Smyrna, TN. Starting out in a small hall in a hotel with only a few members and a handful of workers, the church grew and today meets in La Vergne at a much larger and rapidly expanding location. We glorify the name of the Lord as he has nurtured our beloved pastor. There can only be greater feats ahead of you as you continue to walk with the Lord.
I am a Born Again Christian, a beloved child of God, formed for God’s eternal purpose. I am among many things, a teacher, both in my circular job and ministry. I am a married mother of 3 awesome children and started writing many years ago and write for many reasons but mostly because it is cathartic and as the Bible says:
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in [a]any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
– 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
God has comforted me (and still does) in all my afflictions and I believe He did so, so I in turn can do the same to others.
